What is China white Heroin?
China White is an old slang term that was once used to refer to very pure forms of heroin. Today, many people say China White is a fentanyl derivative called alpha-methylfentanyl. Street names for drugs change constantly, that’s why a lot of confusion exists about what. today many people know the drug as, pure form of heroin, fentanyl, heroin mixed with fentanyl, Alpha-methylfentanyl.
China White Heroin history in the U.S.A
Heroin was first synthesized legally from morphine which came from opium in the late 1800s. The Bayer Company of Germany was the 1st to introduce heroin in the U.S. However, by the early 1900s addiction and abuse were widespread, and by 1924 federal law announced all heroin use illegal in the U.S. China White was originally a street name for a very pure form of heroin. It was called what it was because it was first imported from China. Pure heroin also looks like white powder, cocaine or powder sugar.
Why is China White called Synthetic Heroin?
The term “synthetic” is often misunderstood on the street. Synthetic refers to something that is man-made, and synthetic drugs are usually made to copy a naturally occurring drug. Synthetic drugs are not necessarily the same strength or as safe as the drugs they’re supposed to mimic. it is known as synthetic heroin because the street term has been used to refer to fentanyl and alpha-methylfentanyl.
Heroin Overdose
Black tar heroin and brown heroin are less likely to contain fentanyl. However, no type of heroin is 100 percent safe. Using any type of heroin is dangerous because it’s impossible for most people to know what’s in the powder that they’re about to snort or inject. White heroin particularly is dangerous because it’s easy for dealers to conceal fentanyl or similarly colored drugs in the white powder.
